Find below the top 10 of her kids’ favorites summer lunchbox ideas as well as some tips for making it fun and easy to prepare and to eat.
Salads
Nop, salads are not just for mommy 🙂 I’m not just sharing about the green leafy plant here but how I combine crunchy and soft, sweet and salty, (life-saver) leftovers with fresh food, in different ways. Find below what my kids enjoyed last summer.

Salty Cake
It can look like a quiche without the crust, but the consistency is more like bread or cake. You may need 15-20 min of preparation but the oven will do the magic for you! Have a look at Teuko’s easy recipe of spinach, ham and gruyère salty cake. Check out below suggestions of food swaps and combination that would make your kids’ tummies super happy:
- Ham and gruyère (the easiest).
- Black and/or green olives, bacon, and gruyère.
- Zucchini, tuna, and mozzarella.
- Sliced bell peppers (pre-cooked in olive oil – think about using leftovers 😉 ), thyme and gruyère.

Seasonal Fruits
Let’s enjoy summer at its best and pack refreshing, sweet and delicious fruits in our kids’ lunch boxes! You could see my kids’ favorite fruits in the photos of the lunch boxes I shared with you in this blog post:
- Nectarines
- Cherries
- Figs
- Watermelons
- Strawberries
- Pineapples
