March is National Nutrition Month®

National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

“Go Further with Food” is the theme for 2018, and its importance is timely for many reasons. Whether it’s starting the day off right with a healthy breakfast or fueling before an athletic event, the foods you choose can make a difference.

How to celebrate with Teuko?

Join Teuko and spread with us the message of the importance of an overall healthy lifestyle for people of all ages, genders and backgrounds….one lunchbox at a time.

1- Engage the conversation. Over March we will share articles, games and tips to encourage better food choices and better eating habits. We’ve also opened a Facebook Group “Lunchbox Community Teuko” to keep the conversation going: join now, ask your questions or simply share your perspective with the community.

2- Participate to our Food Challenge. We invite all our followers to participate to a Food Challenge on Facebook and Instagram. Every Friday, we will unveil one specific seasonal food item to introduce in your lunchbox the next week. Check out the ideas on www.teuko.com, don’t forget to take a picture of what you pack and share it with our community on Teuko or on Instagram with hashtag #teuko.

We’re also very proud to partner with Les Amis du Lycée Français de San Francisco, and Cécile Cottus, Certified Nutrition Consultant, to facilitate a discussion on kids’ nutrition and strategies to make packing healthy lunches easier for parents. First workshop was held on March the 9th, in San Francisco. Contact us for more details.

Let’s make lunch packing a better experience, together!
