Here at Teuko.com, the community of families who pack lunch for their kids, we want to make lunch packing easy, healthy, and fun. As parents, we also want a bright future for our children, and sustainability has an important part in our mission. According to the United Nations, there are 17 key Sustainability Development Goals. Let’s see how Teuko fits in the United Nations’ program.
Good Health and Well-being
Ensuring “Good Health and Well Being” is Goal number 3 in the list of actions of the United Nations. Teuko also wants to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, starting with a strong focus on our kids.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, record numbers of Americans are obese (almost 40% of adults, and the childhood obesity rate, for ages 6-19, has increased to 20%). Childhood obesity is linked to increased mortality rates in adulthood, and obesity can lead to diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Here at Teuko, we’re happy and proud to help reduce the stress and mental charge for the persons in charge of packing lunch boxes daily, and, most and foremost, to encourage pack healthier lunches, helping prevent diet-related diseases, one lunchbox at a time.

Responsible Consumption and Production
This is Goal number 12 of the United Nations. While we’re not manufacturing anything, we, at Teuko, ensure to help families packing lunch have sustainable consumption and help our business partners having sustainable production patterns.
We offer a feature that allows our users to buy foods/ingredients directly from each lunchbox idea. This will help in optimizing the “first in/first out” (FIFO) consumption concept in order to use foods with a coming expiration date first as we replace in our fridge and pantry only the food that is needed.

Brands partnering with us can understand better the need of our community, what our kids want to eat, and thus, by following the trends set by our families, can avoid manufacturing products destined to fail and be wasted otherwise.
Our next goal
While Teuko is growing, we also want to add the 2nd United Nations’ key Sustainability Development Goals in our mission as soon as we can. We want, indeed, to help fight hunger and achieve food security and improved nutrition in our community and beyond.
One step at a time, we, at Teuko, help thousands of families, and, indirectly children, enjoy lunchtime again. And one step at a time, together, we help improve the food ecosystem by answering the needs of families, while helping brands get discovered, and emphasizing on healthy foods and sustainability.
Together, we can be stronger and build a better place and a better future for our children!
