Themis is 9yo. She is sharing a stuffing recipe from her grandma, who delights the family with stuffed tomatoes every summer in the South of France. It’s easy to make, and what we like about it is that it makes any veggie so appetizing!
1- ground meat: we use pork, but it works very well also with ground lamb or ground chicken.
2- one egg
3- spices : we like thyme, rosemary, parsley,.. and the secret ingredient, garlic!
4- seasoning: salt, pepper
Optional : bread crumbs, 1 onion browned in butter
Mix all the ingredients together. Veggies we love stuffed : mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes, zucchinis.
Bake 30 min, 375F.
Zero waste tip: incorpore and mix all edible parts removed from the veggie in the stuffing before use.
